“Positive Coaching Scotland will be a major culture-changing programme in Scotland, and we are determined to ensure that in due course it impacts the lives of all young Scots involved in sport."

What We Do
The Foundations' programmes, partnerships, research and development initiatives are making a genuine difference to the lives of young people in Scotland. By creating a positive culture to learn through sport the young can embrace the many benefits of sport and physical activity - including resilience, positivity and team work.
The benefits of sport are far reaching - for the individual and nation as a whole - and can help shape our future for the better.
- Participation in sport raises self esteem, improves social skills and reduces rates of anti-social behaviour.
- Sport generates long term economic value by reducing health costs and improving quality of life.
- Sports related consumer expenditure is more than £1.8billion per year and growing.
We are committed to making a positive impact on the young people in Scotland. In the coming years we will build on our successes and partnerships and welcome new ideas and opportunities to continue
- Providing more enjoyable and fun experiences of sport and physical activity.
- Improving access to role models – such as athletes and successful sports personalities.
- Developing stronger and more sustainable clubs.
